Convergia is a locally hosted automation gateway that serves as the central intelligence for complex smart home and building installations. Built on an Intel NUC appliance, it unifies KNX wired infrastructure, Zigbee wireless devices, Wi-Fi systems, Matter endpoints, AV equipment, and IP cameras into a single cohesive platform — all processing locally without cloud dependency. Every automation rule executes on the local hardware, ensuring response times measured in milliseconds regardless of internet connectivity. The platform supports sophisticated multi-condition logic — if a motion sensor detects presence AND the light level drops below a threshold AND the time falls within a specific window, then adjust lighting, set climate targets, and arm specific zones. AV integration means the same automation that dims the lights can lower the projector screen and route audio. IP camera feeds integrate directly into security workflows.
