Where the standard Zigbee Gateway coordinates devices within a single automation system, the Matter Gateway bridges them across ecosystems, eliminating the walled-garden problem that has fragmented smart homes for years. Connected via wired Ethernet for stability, it supports up to 128 devices with cross-protocol bridging handled locally.
