Zigbee mmWave Sensor (Ceiling Mounted)

The ceiling-mounted mmWave sensor provides true presence detection for permanent installations where battery life and USB cables are impractical. Wired directly to AC mains at the ceiling mount point, it operates indefinitely without maintenance — no batteries to replace, no adapters to manage, no cables crossing the ceiling. The 24 GHz radar detects static human presence through walls of glass and across open-plan spaces with adjustable range up to 9 metres. Configurability sets this sensor apart from simpler alternatives. Detection distance adjusts from 0.3 to 9 metres, sensitivity scales across 10 levels, and the disappearance delay ranges from half a second to 25 minutes — allowing precise tuning for each room's characteristics. A small bathroom might use a 2-metre range with 30-second delay. A conference room might need 7 metres with a 5-minute delay to accommodate periods of quiet thought. The integrated LUX sensor supports brightness-conditional automations. Designed for the rooms where PIR consistently fails — bathrooms where you sit still, meeting rooms during long silences, open-plan offices where subtle movement does not register across distance. It operates across a wide temperature range from negative 20 to positive 70 degrees Celsius, suitable for covered outdoor areas as well as climate-controlled interiors. Part of the Zigbee mesh, it communicates reliably with your hub and requires only mains wiring and a coordinator to function.
